Our Mission & the Challenge
Breast cancer remains one of the most pressing health challenges globally, especially in
low-resource settings where access to screenings is limited and clinician-dependent examinations dominate.
Niramai’s mission is to democratise early cancer screening through Thermalytix®—a low-cost,
non-contact, AI-driven technology that delivers reliable results with accuracy, dignity, and privacy.
Meeting women where they are, by bringing screening closer to women—in clinics, camps, workplaces,
and even homes—we aim to close the detection gap and transform outcomes.
Our Solution
Thermalytix® reimagines breast health screening by combining thermal imaging with advanced
machine-learning to analyse heat patterns and detect subtle temperature variations that help
identify early-stage abnormalities. Designed for accuracy, it is radiation-free, painless, and portable.
The system performs instant risk stratification, identifying women at high risk who require
further diagnostic imaging. It also generates a quantitative breast health report, enabling
doctors to detect abnormalities quickly and support patients in a timely manner.

Meet the Founder, Dr Geetha Manjunath
Dr Geetha Manjunath is the Founder, CEO, and CTO of Niramai. With a PhD in AI and Data Mining from
the Indian Institute of Science, an MSc in Computer Science, and management training at the Kellogg
School of Management, she brings over 25 years of experience in building impactful AI solutions.
Her career includes creating India’s first commercial supercomputer at C-DAC and leading research
teams at HP Labs and Xerox Research. Under her leadership, Niramai developed Thermalytix®, secured
global patents, achieved US FDA clearance, and expanded screening access to thousands of women.
Her accolades include the CSI Gold Medal, Forbes India’s Top 20 Self-Made Women (2020), and
recognition from MIT Tech Review and Economic Times.
